Indian Classical Literature: Made easy is intended for the deep understanding of classical Indian Literature to the undergraduate students. We hope that this study guide would be useful to the student community to assist them while preparing for examinations.

This study guide is a comprehensive survey of classical Indian literature written in easy English. The early works of Indian Literatures were written in Sanskrit. They were such as Vedic Sanskrit Dramas, Hindu texts like Vedas and Upanishads. Sanskrit was the language of learning and Theology. Hence the Bhakti movements enhanced the classical Indian Literature. Hinduism was also a subject of classical Indian literature. The two coins of Hindu devotional movements are Shaivism and Vaishnavism which were the core subjects of classical Literature.

The classical Literatures like Kalidasaa’s The Loom of Time, Extracts from The MahaBharatha The Dicing, The Sequel to the Dicing and Temptation of Karna , Surraka The Mrichchhakatika  and sankaradeva’s Parijatha Harana- Nata are explained in a detailed way.
